Platypus Peak

Platypus Peak has a beginning like any good story, a group of friends that are full of life and promise decide to start their own game studio at the end of 2019.

Fast forward to the end on 2020 and we have successfully released ‘Fenced In’ a casual game released on both Android and iOS. It can now be downloaded on itc.io. Fenced In

Platypus Peak is currently working on Skiers Landing. A casual skiing game where the aim is to get down the mountain quickly and as fast as you can, while also saving as many little critters as you can.

We have been working on Skiers Landing since the end of 2020, with a final goal of releasing a fun skiing/snowboarding game that is fast-paced, with a relaxing casual vibe when hitting the slopes.

We aim to release it on PC and console in late 2024, or early 2025.

Below are the current members of Platypus Peak.

Tyler Ratcliffe

Lead Designer & Lead Artist

Tyler joined Platypus Peak at the very beginning and from the start was the center point and powerhouse of the team. Bringing his mostly design background into the group he quickly figured out what and where things needed to be done, while also polishing his art skills with a variety of different programs which he has now become fluent.

Tyler held his title of Lead Artist but gained the additional Lead Designer after the release of ‘Fenced In.’

Platypus Peak is in good hands with Tyler at the helm

Drue Waterman

Lead Technical

Drue also joined Platypus Peak at the very start and was only there to fill minor roles, mostly including UI Design and implementation.

After the release of ‘Fenced In’ and with some members deciding to move on, he was moved into the Lead Technical position. Mostly because Tyler doesn’t do programming so well, but also because of Drue’s fascination and understanding of code.

Though not formally taught, he continues to improve and hone his skills, mostly C#, while working with Platypus Peak to further the studio’s goals. Namely world domination.
